Friendzone isn’t a group in the traditional sense… founder Giordano Forlai, with their first release in 2019, the single “NOI NON SIAMO COME VOI” (which became the theme song for the Mentana rock event) and subsequently with the song “LA GABBIA” in 2025, conceived these adventures with a potpourri of artists who come and go and swap over depending on the situation, thus a group of friends who come together to play and sing and participate in all aspects of production, hence the name “FRIENZONE”. Musicians, arrangers, and singers alternate, obviously available to Giordano’s call, as the songwriter, but he works in complete synergy with all participants in the creation of a product where everyone’s art and taste must emerge. Put like that, it may seem simple, but organizing it all requires patience, skill, and a lot (and crucially, a lot) of respect!
