MORGURTH è una one-man Black Metal band italiana ed è stata fondata a Ferrara all’inizio del duemila-venti, quando Nicola Manfrini (a.k.a. Narthang), mastermind del progetto dedito a generi quali Black e Death Metal, ha cominciato a comporre diversi brani, mosso dalla passione per il Metal estremo, con influenze che spaziano in particolare tra l’Atmospheric, il Viking ed il Black Metal classico. Nel duemila-diciotto, dopo cinque anni nelle vesti di chitarrista e cantante growl della band Symphonic Metal ferrarese “Neophobia”, con la quale ha pubblicato il full-lenght “Monstermind”, Narthang lascia il gruppo del quale è stato cofondatore per dedicarsi a tempo pieno alla composizione di brani propri ed improntati sul genere Black. Nelle precedenti esperienze, ha sempre sentito il bisogno di una più ampia libertà artistica, senza influenze esterne che potessero condizionare la propria creatività. Così, per queste ragioni, decide di intraprendere la strada della one-man band e, per i successivi due anni, compone in solitudine numerosi brani originali e comincia la creazione differenti progetti solisti, tutti sul genere Black Metal, ma con diverse influenze. Nei primi mesi del duemila-venti, comincia a dare forma a quello che sarà il progetto Morgurth ed a concepire i primi brani.

MORGURTH is an Italian one-man Black Metal band which was founded in Ferrara in early two-thousand-twenty, when Nicola Manfrini (a.k.a. Narthang), mastermind of the project, dedicated to genres such as Black and Death Metal, began to compose several songs, driven by the passion for extreme Metal, with many influences ranging between Atmospheric, Viking and classic Black Metal.
In two-thousand-eighteen, after five years as guitarist and growl singer of the Symphonic Metal band “Neophobia”, from Ferrara, which he released the full-length “Monstermind” with, Narthang left the group he co-founded to dedicate himself fulltime to composing his own songs based on the Black Metal genre. In his previous experiences, he has always felt the need for greater artistic freedom, without external influences that could affect his creativity. Therefore, for these reasons, he decides to take the road of the one-man band and, for the next two years, he composes numerous original songs and begins the creation of different solo projects, all on the Black Metal genre, but with different influences. In the first months of two-thousand-twenty, he began to give shape to what would become the Morgurth project and to compose the first songs.
