I Monkey Intrusion sono un gruppo rock indipendente con sede a Trieste, nel nord-est dell’Italia. La loro musica è una fusione di generi influenzati dai diversi background dei membri della band. Il progetto nasce nell’estate del 2013 dalle ceneri di una precedente band formata da Marco Plesnicar (basso), Vincenzo Reina (chitarre, voce) ed Enrico Goti (voce, chitarre). Hanno iniziato a sviluppare la propria musica in un processo lento dovuto principalmente ai cambiamenti alla batteria fino a quando finalmente Marco Bertoli (batteria) si è unito al gruppo nel 2021. La sua presenza ha fornito la stabilità e il suono necessari per fare il passo successivo…entrare in uno studio di registrazione. . L’album è stato registrato nel 2022 presso i Jork Studios (studiojork.com) Dekani, uno dei più importanti in Slovenia. Il risultato è un viaggio attraverso le emozioni, le osservazioni e talvolta le paure di una società distopica in cui la musica cambia genere per sottolineare ciò che i testi ritraggono. Al momento hanno pubblicato 5 singoli – The Brighter Side, Fire Dancer, Life, Police of the Soul e Hard Times – mentre l’album completo è previsto per il prossimo autunno.

Monkey Intrusion is an independent rock band based in Trieste, North East of Italy. Their music is a melting of genres influenced by the different backgrounds of band members.
The project started in the summer of 2013 from the ashes of a previous band formed by Marco Plesnicar (bass), Vincenzo Reina (guitars, voice) and Enrico Goti (voice, guitars). They started to develop their own music in a slow process due mainly to the changes at the drumkit until finally Marco Bertoli (drums) joined the group in 2021. His presence provided the stability and sound needed to take the next step…entering a recording studio. The Album was recorded in 2022 at Jork Studios (studiojork.com) Dekani, one of the most relevant in Slovenia. The result is a journey through the emotions, observations and sometimes fears of a dystopic society where the music shifts in genres to underscore what the lyrics portray.
At present they have released 5 singles – The Brighter Side, Fire Dancer, Life, Police of the Soul and Hard Times – while the full Album is due for the coming Autumn.
