Registrato con Mirko Tinella presso i REC LAB Studios di Buccinasco (MI) con la collaborazione di Larsen Premoli al Sound Design, Mix e Mastering, ‘LULTIMA OFFENSIVA’ è musica pe(n)sante e pulsante che fa della varietà la sua omogeneità e della ricerca una sua caratteristica.
Partendo da solide radici Rock/Metal ci accompagna con incursioni nel Pop o nel metal più estremo pur mantenendo uno stile e una coerenza chiaramente riconoscibili e frutto anche della trentennale esperienza di Dario.

Musica per i condannati, musica per la piccola gente, musica che è un’offensiva, musica riconoscente. Danza di idee contrapposta a quella dei corpi, danza di pensieri che non temono anticorpi. Proiettato al futuro ma con solide radici nella tradizione del Rock Italiano (vissuto in prima persona da Dario fin dagli anni ‘90) l’album si vuole inoltre distinguere per la scelta del cantato in italiano e per una particolare cura riservata alle tematiche e ai testi. Testi in cui Dario racconta quello che è il suo (e probabilmente anche il nostro) vissuto in un mondo sempre più complesso dove però la centralità rimane la persona (noi) con i suoi pensieri, le sue paure, le sue speranze e il suo rapportarsi con la vita che la circonda e la pervade. Uno sguardo spesso duro e critico su quelli che sono i problemi dell’uomo e della società odierna ma con la consapevolezza che sta a noi essere il meglio del nostro possibile.
L’ULTIMA OFFENSIVA è un viaggio in 12 piccole storie.

L’ULTIMA OFFENSIVA is the debut album of the LEONI project.
Recorded with Mirko Tinella at the REC LAB Studios in Buccinasco (MI), in collaboration with Larsen Premoli for Sound Design, Mixing, and Mastering, this album is a blend of weighty and pulsating music that finds its unity in variety and its distinctiveness in exploration.
Starting from solid Rock/Metal roots, it takes us on excursions into Pop and even the most extreme metal, all while maintaining a style and coherence that are unmistakably recognizable, thanks in part to Dario’s thirty years of experience.

Music for the condemned, music for the little people, music as thrust, music that is grateful.
It’s a dance of ideas juxtaposed with the dance of bodies, thoughts unafraid of antibodies.
Projected into the future but firmly rooted in the tradition of Italian Rock (a tradition Dario has lived firsthand since the ’90s), the album also stands out for its choice of Italian lyrics and its special attention to themes and lyrics. In these lyrics, Dario recounts his (and probably our) experiences in an increasingly complex world where the individual (us) remains central, with their thoughts, fears, hopes, and interactions with the surrounding life. An often harsh and critical look at the problems of humanity and contemporary society but with the awareness that we have the power to be the best version of ourselves. L’ULTIMA OFFENSIVA is a journey through 12 small stories.

LEONI is the new project by Dario Leoni (a multi-instrumentalist and composer active since 1990, previously with Pounder and since 2002 with VersozerO) alongside Fabio Privitera (an actor and director, known for his role in the musical ‘Dracula Opera Rock’ by P.F.M., and a singer who has previously worked with bands like Bejelit, Aeternal Seprium, Sound Storm, and VersozerO) as the lead vocalist.
